YPC Extravaganza Photo Slide Show!

For those who attended YPC’s first fund raiser or are interested – see the fabulous photos in the side show below taken during Bpeace - Young Professionals Committee’s exciting evening that took place on February 26th, 2009.

Thanks to your participation and contribution, we are pleased to report that the event generated incredible publicity towards building the first beauty school in Rwanda. On February 26th, you joined close to 400 people in celebration and support of Rwandese progress.

Bpeace Rwandan entrepreneurs: Jeanette and Sylvie are extremely grateful, and asked us to relay this personal message to you:

“Thank you for providing opportunity to those who had no hope and from which we can pass skills and build a better Rwanda of tomorrow. On behalf of all the Rwandese Bpeace associates, we want you to know that your presence is a motivation for us to do what is right and make sure this beauty project is a success."

Thank you all for your support! Without your positive energy and contributions this would not have been possible!

Bpeace in Rwanda: Beauty Salon Workshops

In April of 1994 Rwanda experienced hell on earth. Over 800,000 people were murdered in 100 days. In a country lost in fear, neighbor turned on neighbor. Today, Bpeace joins in Rwanda's remarkable recovery supporting business women who are at its heart.

"Hope is only a beginning - transformation is the objective."

This video is about Bpeace and Regis Coporation working together to sustain peace in Rwanda. Russel Brown from Regis Corporation talks about his experience in Rwanda and what it means to him. Together with Bpeace; Russel and friends went to Rwanda to provide their services towards building and improving a beauty salon. The trip focused on hair cutting workshops working with people who had never even held scissors before and training them to effectively cut hair.

"The salon business is a universal language - a language anyone can speak. Finding the common tread which binds us together is more than good customer service, it fosters peace."

"Business is relationships...Business is the language of peace...we need your support and they need your expertise and resources and yes, we all need your desire and commitment to build peace in our world."

You too can make a difference in people's lives www.bpeace.org/ypc Learn more at www.bpeace.org
